All parts should be tested (random inspection can be used for barrelplating parts with a proportion in accordance with the ISO 4519).2) Inspection should be performed according to the ISO 2178. For an area of the part surface reachable by a ball with 20 mm in diameter, the average thickness should be 8–12 μm. The minimum thickness of the lowest potential area, such as inside a trough, may be more than 5 μm. Thickness is not required for an area unreachable by a ball with 20 mm in diameter.3) For parts with screw threads, coating thickness should be enough to protect threads. It should meet requirements specified in drawings or the ISO 4042, as shown in Table 2. Otherwise, parts of this production batch are inpliant.5) For small barrel plating parts, such as fasteners, at least five samples from each production batch should be tested. Perform a test according to requirements specified in 3). Few black dots on less than a half of samples are acceptable, but no white corrosion is allowed. Otherwise, parts of this production batch are inpliant. Screw threads and pression positions of fasteners are not tested.6) Corrosion resistance test is not required for partially powdersprayed parts.7) Requirements for corrosion resistance for part surfaces only with silkscreen on coatings are the same as those in item 0.8) If a part is too large to put into a test box, typical structures of the part can be used as samples..
