He was too busy to pick up the phone. I’ll go to pick you up if I’m free. The runner dropped his stick, and he stopped to pick it up. 11. As soon as I picked up my book, the phone started to ring again. 我一拿起書來，電話就又響了。 as soon as 一……就…… 例 如： 1） Don’t worry. I’ll tell you as soon as I find her. 2） We will go home as soon as the rain stops. 3） Yesterday I fell asleep as soon as I went to bed. 【典型例題】 1）老師一進教室，學(xué)生們就不說話了。 The students _________________________ the teacher came into the classroom. 2）我一到廣州就會給你發(fā) 的。 I ______________________________ I get to Guangzhou. 12. ① Please tell him that I will meet him in front of the office at 9:00 tomorrow. ② I hope that I can have some time to read my books. ③ I don’t know that my mother has e bac k. ④ I believe that I can have some time of my own. 根據(jù)以上四句話的句型結(jié)構(gòu)，我們稱之為賓語從句。 賓語從句就是用來作賓語的句子。
