The book is worthy to be read. 這本書值得一讀。 I do think the movie is well worth seeing. I do think the movie is well worthy of being seen. 我真的認為這部電影很值得看。 construction 正在修建中 The road under construction is too muddy to walk on. 正在修建的那條路太泥濘不好走。 I heard that your new teaching building is under repair. 我聽說你們的新教學樓正在施工。 under...表示 ”在……過程中 ,或正在受……的影響 ”。 under attack 遭受攻擊 。under repair 正在維修 。under investigation 正在調(diào)查。例如 : His case is under investigation. 他的案子正在接受調(diào)查。 Can I use your bike?Mine is under repair. 10 我能用你的自行車嗎？我的正在維修。 +and+一般將來時 Use your mind,and you will find a good idea. 動動腦筋 ,你就會想出一個好辦法來。 Give me a call,and I will help you. 給我打個電話 ,我就會幫助你。 Open the window,and you will smell it. 打開窗 ,你就會聞到。 此處祈使句相當于一個條件句 ,and 后的陳述句相當于在此條件下發(fā)生的結(jié)果。 這種句型可以同 if 引導的條件句進行轉(zhuǎn)換。如上面的句子可以改寫成 : If you use your mind,you will find a good idea. If you give me a call,I will help you. If you open the window,you will smell it. Background Information Traffic Jam 無論是在國內(nèi)還是國外 ,交通堵塞無疑是讓生活在大都市的人頭疼的問題。除了給人們的生活帶來不便之外 ,交通堵塞也給各國帶來巨大的經(jīng)濟損失。英國工商聯(lián)合會最新發(fā)表的一項統(tǒng)計說 ,交通堵塞每年給英國造成約２００億 英鎊的經(jīng)濟損失 ,同時損壞了英國的商業(yè)形象， 而且在交通堵塞的情況下就會有怪事發(fā)生。 （ 1） Study sees longer muted — If it seems like more of your time is spent stuck in traffic,you may be Chicago, daily struggle with bumpertobumper traffic is getting worse,according to a study released average rushhour driver wasted 51 hours sitting in traffic in 2020,the Texas Transportation Institute said in its annual mobility study. （ 2） Traffic Jams in Shanghai For the past ten years traffic jams in Shanghai have bee more and more are many reasons for it but in general they e down to three main ,with the rapid development of economy in Shanghai,too many traffic tools are brought into ,the traffic system in Shanghai was established mainly in the 1940’ roads are so narrow that they can’t bear such heavy final reason is that the population of Shanghai has been increasing too ,it is clear that the traffic system in Shanghai must be reanized as soon as possible. （ 3） A scooter to fight traffic jams The citizens of St Petersburg were surprised to see an adult who drove the underground station “Tekhnologichesky Institut” by a the surprised passengers asked him about his strange choice of private transport means,he explained that he was forced to use scooter because of permanent traffic jams in the city then it takes him almost one hour less to reach his ,the scooterdriver feels younger and more ,what the scooterdriver did not say to the underground passengers,but what for sure should be taken into account by cardrivers at all,is preferring scooter to car.
