【正文】 that we all respect him.他是那樣一位好老師,以致于我們大家都尊敬他。(that引導(dǎo)的是結(jié)果狀語(yǔ)從句，that在該狀語(yǔ)從句中不充當(dāng)句子成分，另外注意句中的respect帶有賓語(yǔ)him)2.such as與as suchsuch as 與 as such兩者詞序相反，意義區(qū)別也很大，as such有兩個(gè)主要意思：(1)表示“按照某詞通用的詞義”“根據(jù)某詞嚴(yán)格的詞義”。如：It’s not an agreement as such, but it will have virtually the same effect as one.就協(xié)議的詞義而言，它算不上是協(xié)定，但實(shí)際上起到了協(xié)定的作用。I can’t call my book a best seller as such but it’s very popular.我不敢說(shuō)我的書(shū)是暢銷(xiāo)書(shū)，但可以說(shuō)很受歡迎。(2)表示“就本身而論”。如：Money as such will seldom bring happiness.金錢(qián)本身很少帶來(lái)幸福。Money, as such, does not bring happiness.金錢(qián)本身并不給人帶來(lái)快樂(lè)。(3)表示“以某種身份(或資格)”“像所指的人(或事物)那樣”。如：She is a kind woman and is known as such.她是位好心腸的女人，這是大家知道的。He is the author of the article, but he does not desire to be known as such.他是文章的作者，但他不想讓人知道他是作者。
