【正文】 ① As long as you do your best, we’ll be happy. 只要你盡力，我們就很開心了。 ② As long as you need me, I’ll stay. 只要你需要我，我就留下。 當由 as long as引導的條件狀語從句中的謂語為 be動詞，且從句的主語和主句的主語相同時，則從句的主語和 be動詞可以省略。如： I’m sure we are safe as long as （ we are） in his care. 我深信只要在他的保護下，我們就會平安無事。 【 延伸 】 as long as還有以下用法： （ 1）意為“與 …… 一樣長”。如： ① This river is as long as that one. 這條河與那條河一樣長。 ② He lived abroad as long as five years. 他曾經(jīng)住在國外長達五年之久。 （ 2）意為“既然”，相當于 since。如： As long as you are going, I’ll go too. 既然你要去，那么我也去。
