A Trip to the Great Wall Three days ago we decided to visit the Great Wall. Today we met at the bus stop early in the morning. When we were on the bus, we saw a lot of new buildings and new shops. Beijing was taller than before, I thought. It took us about two hours to get to the Great Wall. When the Great Wall appeared in front of us, we couldn’t, t help thinking how wonderful it is! I wondered how the people in the past built it without modem machines. It is said you can see it from the space. I was proud of it. After ing home I made up my mind to study harder than before. When I grow up, I will work hard to make our country more beautiful and stronger. Wonderful Traveling I went to Tibet for a wonderful visit with my parents during the National Holiday this year. We left Lanzhou Railway Station on 1st October. The train was quite new and wonderful. We kept watching the beautiful scenery out of the window. It made us surprised and excited. Father told me that the railway between Ge39。ermu and Lhasa was built in 2020. Before that time, people used to take a coach to Tibet. The trip always took a long time and made people feel sick ... The train got Lhasa Railway Station the next afternoon. During the next 3day journey, we visited many wonderful places such as Jokhang Temple, Yangba Well and so on. All of us fell in love with such a fantastic place. My Home town My home town is a beautiful place. It stands beside a wide river and is rich in fish and rice. But in the old days it was a poor and backward little town. Many people had no work. They lived a hard life. In 1949 my hometown was liberated. Since then great changes have taken place there. The streets have been widened. Factories, schools, hospitals, cinemas and theatres have sprung up one after another. The life of the people is greatly improved. I love my hometown. All the more I love its people. They are working hard so as to make it still richer and more beautiful. May1st Saturday Fine If you don＇ t go to the Great Wall, you won＇ t bee a hero. On May Day my classmates and I went to the Great Wall. We got on the bus in the early morning. On our way to the Great Wall, we saw lots of new buildings being built here and there. Beijing is changing a lot every day. After two hours the Great Wall appeared before our eyes. She was so wonderful that we couldn’t help cheering. At once we started towards the top. We were very glad to be heroes in the end. How great the Great Wall is! We were proud of the Great Wall and the people who had built it. And we made our mind to work harder than before. We will try our best to make our motherland richer and stronger. 八、 “節(jié)日描寫(xiě) ”方面 MidAutumn Day MidAutumn Day is a traditional festival in China. Almost everyone likes to eat moon cakes on that day. Most families have a dinner together to celebrate the festival. A saying goes, the moon in your hometown is almost always the brightest and roundest. Many people who live far away from homes want to go back to have a family reunion. How happy it is to enjoy the moon cakes while watching the full moon with your family members. April Fool(愚人節(jié) ) Last March, my mother told my father and me that my grandfather would e in April. We were very happy because my grandfather was an interesting old man and he had not visited us since he went to Hong Kong. On April 1 my father and I bought a lot of food from the supermarket and bought a big bunch of flowers home. Then we did some cleaning at home. At night when we were waiting for my grandfather, the bell rang and in came my mother. She smiled to us and said April fools! National Day （國(guó)慶節(jié)） It is known to everyone: Oct, 1st is our National Day. At this day I went to street and saw something. Now I will tell you! At 8:00 I got up and went bus station with my mother .O my god there were so many people! With difficult we got up the bus and felt much crowed. The traffic was so bad too! I cost nearly 1 hour that we arrived the center of street. What were worse there were even more people! In my opinion it was not very interesting to e out at this day! Nest time I prefer to stay at home and study! My Christmas Day Christmas Day is the most important festival of west. Be in that day at Christmas, people don’t work. Children don’t go to school. The whole people have all had a holiday. People indulges in a holiday together laughing and chatting. On that day at Christmas, we need to have the Christmas tree, illumination, the star adorns our family. We invite our family and friend to our house. They are able to give me a gift, I also need to give gift for them. We sing special songs at Christmas. Christmas songs are carols. My Winter Holiday我的寒假 last winter holiday, I went to Kunming with my family. Kunming is a very beautiful city, I think. The sky is blue and the air is clean. You can see many kinds of nice flowers everywhere. The weather there is great. It′ s never too hot or too cold all the year round, so people always call it Spring City. Kunming is surrounded by beautiful scenery. And one of the most famous views is The Stone Forest. It is really scenic. We just stayed in Kunming for six days, but I felt very happy, and I like Kunming very much.
