【正文】 should be allowed to work out their problems all by themselves. ? It is definitely not like that. As a matter of fact , without the teacher’s help we can’t make rapid progress. For example, my pronunciation was poor. I used to pronounce the word “ work” as “ worker”. I was worried about it very much. My teacher gave me a lot of drills and I made the right change at last. ? So you see, what it would be like for us to learn English without teachers ! Should We Judge by Ourselves? ? The author argues that children should be allowed to learn to judge their own work. Children learn to do all the things by paring themselves with others, and make some adjustment slowly. However, once corrected to much, they will lose independence. So students should be encouraged to solve the problems on their own. ? In my opinion, in a way, the author is right. As far as I’m concerned, making language mistakes is inevitable in school. Some of the mistakes, such as fetting “s” or “ed”, can be easily found and corrected by students. But others, like grammar mistakes, can be corrected by more skilled people like teachers. Generally, I will try to reduce the number of mistakes while my teachers usually point out the mistakes I can hardly find. Adequate correction by teachers is necessary, for not all the students are able to find all the mistakes among their study. ?
