mer bearing phosphorylcholine functionality can form a surface with similar structure to cellular membrane and shows good biopatibility. However, the surface structure may change irreversibly due to reorientation and migration of surface groups under some conditions. Also, the molecules of the coating layer can be detached when placed inside the plicated body condition. A crosslinkable amphiphilic phospholipid copolymer of 2methacryloyloxyethylphosphorylcholine (MPC), stearyl methacrylate (SMA) and 3(Methacryloyloxy)propyltrimethoxysilane is synthesised and the surface structure of the coating is adjusted to mimick outer membrane. This adjusted structure of the polymer is then crosslinked to improve the long term stability of cell membrane mimicking surface. Dynamic contact angles of the surfaces suggest the surface structure adjustment and crosslinking modification method is successful. Keywords: phosphorylcholine, amphiphilic polymer, cell membrane, surface modification, biopatibility4 / 4
