Taking the foreign investment theory and the development trend of Chinese foreign investment as the breakthrough point, this thesis separately researches the region selection issue of Chinese foreign direct investment from the angle of theory and practice.The region selection of foreign investment is codetermined by the three parts of investment country, host country and investment enterprise. The main body of foreign direct investment is the enterprise, which region selection simultaneously is influenced by the impetus of investment country and the attraction of host country. By analyzing the factors of the economic scale, etc. of investment country and host country, this thesis reveals the distributing rule of direct investment region. The results of theory analysis and practice study show that apart from maintaining the relatively high investment rate in Asian region, the developed countries of occident etc. are the key regions of Chinese foreign direct investment, at the same time。 it should set out from the angle of the diversification of investment and the decentralization of risk to strengthen the investment force in the other regions of Africa, etc..
