來(lái)代替硅片。中國(guó)國(guó)際信托投資公司可能愿意同某些擁有先進(jìn)技術(shù)的小公司打交道。這些新出現(xiàn)的小公司也想同中國(guó)這樣的國(guó)家做生意，他們對(duì)發(fā)展這種關(guān)系表示關(guān)心。我的報(bào)告反映了這些新的、擁有高技術(shù)的小公司的想法。盡管投資上還有不少困難，高技術(shù)小公司有許多商業(yè)上充足的理由考慮在國(guó)外發(fā)展的機(jī)會(huì)。首先，是為了獲取所需的資源； 其次，為了降低生產(chǎn)成本——既可使產(chǎn)品在其國(guó)內(nèi)市場(chǎng)更具競(jìng)爭(zhēng)力，又可開(kāi)辟一個(gè)新地區(qū)；第三，打入將來(lái)可以成為投資地區(qū)的市場(chǎng)。這些原因既可實(shí)用于在附近城鎮(zhèn)設(shè)立一個(gè)新的辦事處，也實(shí)用于在世界另外那個(gè)半球開(kāi)辦新工廠(chǎng)。在外國(guó)開(kāi)廠(chǎng)時(shí)，有些問(wèn)題，比如對(duì)已經(jīng)做出的選擇如何恰當(dāng)?shù)赜枰栽u(píng)估，就變得很難回答。（李堯 譯）專(zhuān)有名詞不可隨意翻譯；翻譯要增減有度本次翻譯比賽從總體上看不錯(cuò)，原因也許是參賽者對(duì)相關(guān)領(lǐng)域比較熟悉，另外文字淺顯，語(yǔ)法規(guī)范，不像文學(xué)作品較多地融入了作者自己的風(fēng)格，翻譯起來(lái)常常很難把握。我看過(guò)的譯文出現(xiàn)的主要問(wèn)題是：1，許多譯者沒(méi)有注意一個(gè)很重要的問(wèn)題，那就是表示一個(gè)單位的專(zhuān)用名詞必須是固定的翻譯，不可以按照譯者自己的理解隨意翻譯。比如CITIC是“中國(guó)國(guó)際信托投資公司”的縮寫(xiě)，因而只能翻譯成“中國(guó)國(guó)際信托投資公司”，不能譯成“中國(guó)中信公司”，“中信集團(tuán)”。有的朋友翻譯成“中信銀行”則完全錯(cuò)了。The National Council for USChina Trade應(yīng)該是“美中貿(mào)易全國(guó)委員會(huì)”，而不是“美中貿(mào)易全國(guó)理事會(huì)”或者其他。The University of California at Berkeley應(yīng)該翻譯成“加利福尼亞大學(xué)伯克利分校”，不可以翻譯成“伯克利加利福尼亞大學(xué)”。2，任何人的翻譯都會(huì)有增加也有減少，不增不減的翻譯不但不足取，而且不可能。但增減有度，不可隨意增加任意減少。比如有的譯者把“l(fā)eave large institutions”翻譯成“走出校園之后”，有的翻譯成“從大學(xué)辭職”，“辭去大學(xué)的職務(wù)，下海創(chuàng)立生物基因公司”。把“very small pany”翻譯成“嶄露頭角的小公司”，“新秀小公司”，這樣的增加都超出了允許的范圍。3，注意用詞準(zhǔn)確。不少譯者的譯文用詞不夠準(zhǔn)確，比如把“establishing a new office in the next door”翻譯成“在隔壁的鎮(zhèn)子上建立新的辦事處”?！案舯凇笔且粔χ?，難道鎮(zhèn)子也可以“一墻之隔”嗎？把largest pany翻譯成“巨無(wú)霸”，“超級(jí)巨頭”，把 small pany翻譯成“袖珍公司”都是不恰當(dāng)?shù)?。這樣的例子很多，不再一一列舉，希望初學(xué)翻譯的朋友加強(qiáng)中文修養(yǎng)，翻譯出更好的作品。High levels of public debt among countries in the euro zone turned into a fullblown crisis for the currency
