Construction work has been planned in accordance with the work volume of designed 20 wells, and shall meet the following codes and standards:24(1) “Technical standard for watersupply well”(GB5029699)(2) “Code for design, construction and acceptance of watersupply pipes and pits”(CJJ10-86)(3) “Code for hydrogeological investigation of water supply”(GB50027-2022)(4) “Specification for operation of hydrographic geological drilling and digging for watersupply”(YB /T90033 -98)(5)Other current relevant technical standards, codes, standards of acceptance and review. 2 Construction Contents Brief Introduction to the Project Project LocationThe water field for Nyala Water Supply Project is located at about 85km south of Nyala City and 15km west of Gureida (Baggara Basin). It’s about 1100km from Khartoumthe capital of Sudan. Construction Conditions(1)Geological conditionAccording to the data in “Nyala Geophysical Reconnaissance Report” and “Hydrogeological Survey Report on Nyala Water Supply Project”, the stratum of proposed well construction area is as follows: ? 040m under the surface, it is inpact sediment of Cenozoic Erathem, mainly diluvial and proluvial sand bed。? 40220m under the surface, it is sediment of Mesozoic Erathem, the lithology is diluvial and lakesentimental semiconsolidated sandstone and mudstone。 ? Under 220m, they are crystal foundations consisting of basement plex and granite.According to stratum condition, the main problems for well drilling are as follows:25(a) The top sand bed is relatively thick and the surface is covered by sand layer, so boreholes may sink and collapse during drilling period. (b) Rocks in bottom stratum are very hard and solid, drillability is poor, drilling is quite difficult and drilling efficiency may be affected, so corresponding measures must be taken to handle and avoid this problem during construction. (2)Natural ConditionAccording to site exploration, construction area in water field is far away from cities and villages, and the site is flat and open, so it is easy and convenient to arrange construction work. However, engineering area is in a bad traffic and transport condition and there is no transportation road leading to the outside, besides, power supply facilities and water source for construction use are not available there, so temporary builder39。s road shall be built before well drilling, power for construction shall be produced by generators and water for construction in initial stages shall be transported from other places. Work Volume amp。 Work ScopeAccording to the detailed design, altogether 20 wells shall be constructed with the depth of 300m for each one. Main work contents for each well are as follows: well location measurement and confirmation, borehole drilling, well pletion, well flushing, individual well pumping test, water sampling and testing, and so on. Engineering Technical RequirementTechnical Requirement for individual well are as follows: (1) Designed well depth: anticipated depth is 300m, drilling work shall stop when meet crystalline basement, . stop drilling when seeing plex or granite during construction in the future.(2) Well deviation: no more than 1176。 per 100m.(3) Water yield of individual well: no less than 85m3/h.(4) Sand content: no more than 1/20220.(5) Well pipe structure: 0120m, it shall be steel pipe with Φ3258mm。 under 120m, it shall be steel pipe with Φ2196mm and laddershape 26stainless steel screen. Utilize at least 3 layers of aquifer, and screen depth shall be not less than 30m. (6) Water sampling: water samples shall be collected from 6 wells, . wells at northern and southern end, as well as the middle one of each row, altogether there are 6 groups of samples.
