【文章內(nèi)容簡(jiǎn)介】 s TSRHarmony as a philosophy proposition refers to a kind of coordinated, balanced and cooperative condition between the exterior objective world and the internal essential factors. It is also a perfect and ideal condition for the sound development of things. It is a relational category. However, harmony is not a general relationship, but an ideal relationship which manifests stable, orderly and coordinated condition. The harmony of teaching process refers to a coordinated, balanced and cooperative condition between various teaching essential factors and teaching environment.“Relation” refers to a kind of condition that affects mutually between things. “The interpersonal relationship” refers to a stable psychology or a psychological distance which forms in the process of human’s interactional munication3. In the school, teachers and students are the most active factors in the teaching process, and teachers nearly have classes to municate with student everyday. Therefore, the TSR is the most basic and the most important interpersonal relationship in the teaching process. The harmonious TSR is a coordinated, balanced and cooperative condition between teachers and students in the teaching process and the teaching environment. Thus, it improves the quality of teaching, and enables students to obtain harmonious and prehensive development.Ⅲ. Functions of Harmonious TSR in English teaching The 8th national new curriculum reform (1999) has pushed the emotional and cognitive factors to a more important position. Among the emotional and cognitive factors, the harmonious TSR is the pivotal one in that English teaching is cooperation between teachers and students, which requires active attendances from both sides. They exchange not only in knowledge about English but also in affection. The harmonious TSR plays a very important role in motivating students’ interest and enthusiasm in learning English. In English classroom, teachers and students are the major factors in the teaching process, precisely because English teaching process consists of English teachers’ teaching and students’ learning. Modern teaching methods specially emphasize the relationship between teachers and students. Harmonious interpersonal relationship is helpful in enhancing the efficiency of classroomteaching, is helpful in displaying students’ intelligence and ability, and also is helpful to teachers’ and students’ physical and mental health. Cognitive activity between teachers and students depends on and affects mutually. The essence of English teaching is an intercourse activity between teachers and students. Students can form a ability of using English and understanding English based on the harmonious TSR Nowadays, as the qualityoriented education is drawing more and more attention, testoriented education has lost its original status. How to inspire students’ interest in English learning has bee a concerned question. Cultivating a harmonious TSR seems to be more important, especially in this society where students are being increasingly democraticminded and independentminded. In our country, most of students are the only child in their family. Suppose teachers do not take into consideration these emotional factors of students and apply strict principles all the time, students are more likely to dislike their teachers, and even to conflict with teachers. As a result, students may lose interest in English. Therefore, a harmonious TSR is of great importance for effective English teaching.A. To eliminate the psychological barrier between teachers and studentsCommunication between teachers and students should be open. English learning, as language learning, involves frequent munication between teachers and students. Therefore, in a special kind of environment, teachers and students are engaged in various sorts of emotion exchanges. In Englishteaching process, teachers build good relationship with students through verbal instructions, affection and personal charm4. At the same time, students’ affection to teachers is shown through their words, actions and facial expressions. In this way, teachers and students municate effectively and know more mutually, which is beneficial to eliminate the psychological barrier between them and form a cooperative relationship during English teaching and learning activities.If teachers get on well with students and treat them equally, students will trust them and like to interact with them during the teaching and learning process, which can motivate students’ interest. As the famous saying goes “l(fā)ove me, love my dog”. Teachers’ love not only can gain trust and respect from students, but also can arouse student’s enthusiasm in English.B. To mobilize the learning enthusiasm of studentsIf you are interested in the subject you are studying, the results will be better. Therefore, how students learn the language skills is determined to a large extent by the level of interest in learning English. As an old saying goes, “it39。s better to love it more than to know it,but it39。s the best to enjoy it.”, which also motivates students to form the internal driving force which is mobilizing the enthusiasm of students to learn more feasibly and effectively.The harmonious TSR is a sound way to mobilize the enthusiasm of students’ learning English. Harmonious TSR can stimulate interest and initiative from students. Interest carries students to success, and achievement in turn can promote interest into a lifelong and ardent , students will not participate actively in class and are unwilling to cooperate with teachers. Motivation is what moves us from boredom to interest. Friendly and cooperative atmosphere cultivates an environment in which students make English learning an active desire.
