The Manifest must be an uptodate list of the maximum quantities of Dangerous Goods that could be onsite at any one time. The Manifest shall be included in the Emergency Information Manual (refer to EP11 Emergency Preparedness) and a regulare review conducted to ensure accuracy. Manifests should contain the following: Date prepared, address, owner occupier details Emergency contact details of the occupier Chemical inventory by store with maximum storage quantities Site map outlining。 store locations, essential site services, main entrance and other entry points, classes of dangerous goods stored, locations of dangerous goods and bustible liquids, manufacturing and process areas, locations of all drains and the nature of adjoining premises. The Manifest should be located in a weatherproof location that is obvious, sign posted and easily accessed by emergency personnel in the event of any conceivable emergency. The Responsible Officer must immediately notify the “Secretary” WST of the occurrence of any “Dangerous Substances Emergency” or “Dangerous Situation” Responsible Officer Chemical Inventories Chemical inventories shall be maintained at sites identified as Dangerous Substances Locations. These are all sites where the Placarding quantity is exceeded (see SCHEDULE 1 of the National Standard for the Storage and Handling of Workplace Dangerous Goods). The Inventory should outline the chemical name (as identified on the label), storage location, chemical form (liquid, granula, powder etc), type of container and maximum containment capacity at the site. Chemicals held onsite should represent the minimal risk practical, while maintaining appropriate levels for pletion of planned work. Guidance for preparation of a site chemical inventory is given in EG15 Chemical Management Guidance section 11. shall be used to document inventories. Environmental Operations Manager, Temporary Storage If Dangerous Goods are taken to a site for work and stored temporarily, the Emergency Services Manifest at the site shall be updated. If, however, the chemical is removed on the same day when work is plete, no updating of the manifest is required. Environmental Operations Manager, Project Manager Labelling of Containers All containers of chemicals supplied to, used in, or handled in the workplace must be appropriately labelled to assist in safe usage. Where no label is available ChemWatch provides label creation tools. Alternately may be used to create a label. If a container is not labelled correctly, action must be taken to correctly label the container. If the contents are unknown this shall be clearly stated in the container label and the container stored in isolation until contents are identified. If the contents cannot be identified they shall be disposed of in an acceptable manner in consultation with the relevant waste management authority. Where a Hazardous Substance in a workplace is in an enclosed system such as a pipe or equipment (., a transformer), or a process, the material shall be identified to persons who may be exposed to the contents.
