With a scriously study of hydrologic and geology data in the bridge site ,I make the first two plans of the bridge:53m+85m+53m prestressed concrete continuous beam bridge and a Through CFST RigidFramed Tied Arch Bridge with Main Span the purpose of making the type of the bridge corresponding with the ambience and cost saving,with the consideration of the design and construction,I choose the former to be my final design. According to the first plan, the union of the project survey material, the hydrology puted result, the technical standard request, the design standard stipulated that, and refers to the bridge design example which has carried on to make this bridge the general arrangement design. The procedure of the design is listed below : The first step as to dimension the site position, bridge overall structure, bridge superstructure, substructure and floor system, and using CAD software plan bridge general layout and detail dimensional drawing. The second step is to use Doctor Bridge software to analyze internal gross force of the structures(including dead load and lived load), the internal force position can be done by using the pute results. According to the internal force posited, the evaluated amount of longitudinal tendons can be worked out, then we can distribute the tendons to the bridge. The third steps is to calculate the loss of prestressing and secondary force due to prestressing, first dead loads and temperature, bearing displacement, and so on. The last steps is checking the main cross section. the work includes the loadcaring capacity ultimate state and the normal service ability ultimate state as well as the main section’s being out of the results, the final design of the East Gate Bridge meets the requirements of specification.
