Electronic total station, GPS RTK and the popularization of puter and their proportion in measuring instruments increases gradually, and their applications in the digital topographic map, cadastral map is more and more widely. Cadastral survey the traditional method has been difficult to meet the need of practical work, the modern surveying and Mapping Technology methods are playing an important role in the cadastral survey. In this paper, the cadastral survey of Fuxing district of Handan city by using GPS and total station instrument. This paper introduces the anization and implementation of cadastral survey, including control measurements, 1:500 topographic survey, cadastral survey, land ownership, the boundary point survey, cases of map making, measuring the area of summary, urban land survey database construction and results of pilation and summary etc..
