Classic Chinese poetry, regarded as the peak of Chinese poetry literature, is absolutely a most precious treasure, a highly condensation of traditional Chinese culture, and a splendid unification of sense, sound and form beauty of Chinese language. Traditional Chinese poetry often use image to express certain theme. There is a saying that: “Image is the soul of poetry, without image without poetry.” (Chen 78)Through the ages, many poets use special Chinese image in their poetry to express their will or hope. Among those brilliant poets, there is a special poet whose poetry, although written in the period of modern time, adopts a pletely traditional style of classic Chinese poetry and meanwhile possesses a magnificently unique individual charm. That poet is Mao Zedong. Mao Zedong is mitted to Chinese revolutionary cause, who led us to obtain the victory of the new democratic revolution and whose glorious military events are widely spread in China. Most people just regard him as a politician or a militarist。 毛澤東善于構(gòu)筑詩歌意象 ,他在中國古典詩詞的基礎(chǔ)上 ,對近代詩歌意象作了很多創(chuàng)新 ,由此形成了獨具特色的意象系統(tǒng)。 poetry is the best words in the best order.” (Lefevere 4)Poetry is a literary form which uses little words to express their feeling, so every word in the poetry is equally important. No matter it is Chinese poetry or English poetry, two issues are necessary, one is strong rhymes, and the other is strong feelings. Both original writing and translation should contain these two issues. The content of the poetry should express the author’s strong and spontaneous feeling. Rhyme, line and language should be placed at the second stage to consider. All good poetry is the spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings。 “rippling rills” makes us see the shape of the Ridges and hear the ripples by the use of alliteration and assonance, that is to say, beauty in sense is brought out when associated with beauty in sound or form。 Counting up, we’re done twenty thousand li in all.
