Although the style of presentation is nearly the same for what was done in the mon lecture, it clearly gave a brief introduction about panies such as their structure and management policy. The information is valuable to me for surviving in petitive market as it was more updated than the concept in textbook. Also, it gave me a real picture of how to apply management concepts into logistic industry. Their strategic plans also reflect the recent and future trend of logistic industry. For example, fast moving items involve a wide range of goods that result in large demand of logistic service. Freight links logistics Ltd. concentrates on finished goods handling. High turnover rates of finished goods turns into high utilization of its warehouse. However, it is always keen petition of handling finished products in logistics sector. As I am a year three student now, I have learnt more through incampus training which enables me to better identify the reasons and problems of those firms visited. Almost three academic years in logistics, the lecturers have at least trained me up with some insights. With basic understanding of the industry, the tour has given me room to explore opportunities and very importantly as my career advisor. By exploring the real working environment and sharing with managers in the industry, I could prehend the job nature and criteria.All members of the study tour were divided into four departments, everyone had his/her function and mitment. I felt a high team spirit in the study tour. Before departure for Singapore, we were split among individuals and unwilling to take responsibilities. But after arriving Singapore, it became different as we saw each other everyday, we had breakfast together at a round table, we lined up and listened together to the orders through walkietalkies, we have the same surprise with Very Narrow Arm and the Floating Loader Facilities. During the sevendaytour which was the first time in the threeyear course, all of us joined together to have similar experience, learning and sharing. I use the word “us” to mean the three advisors of the tour, the directors of the group, the mittees, and the members.I had a very “intensive” course delivered by the three lecturers in Singapore. Every time we were in the coach, they would talk to us and teach us on some issues. Sometimes, it was about why they had chosen a particular firm, highlighted the characteristics of the firm。另外，參觀 Caterpillar 當(dāng)日，因在前一天接待公司臨時更改參訪地點，而未能與我們聯(lián)絡(luò)上，導(dǎo)致雙方平白損失了 20 分鐘，對方亦要從另一方急趕過來。但在預(yù)備負責(zé)公司的 背景介紹的時候，應(yīng)該要認真一點，一定要在此遊學(xué)團中學(xué)到新知識。而我十分慶幸自己有幸參加這次遊學(xué)團。我加入了 operation 部門，只有一人是自己的同學(xué)，我真的很感受到與素未謀面的人相處並不容易，因為人多便有很多不同意見，遇到意見不合，要互相遷就並不是一件容易的事！這令我學(xué)會容忍！另外，當(dāng)初以為三位老師十分嚴厲，凡事皆有意為難我們，事實並非如此。另外，或者是因為這次有更多參與而更投入，因而得著比上次的多很多。11 / 45Lam Hin Yee 03317545DIndividual Report有一件不得不稱讚的事情，那就是「這個遊學(xué)團真是十分超值」:　超級早機去，極度晚機返！日間有緊密的參訪活動，晚間則有很多精彩的娛樂，真的不枉此行。這些參觀就是課堂的實習(xí)課，形象化地把課堂學(xué)到的知識呈現(xiàn)出眼前。在那裡有著各種族的人，融合不同的文化。另外，她懂得扶助企業(yè)，聆聽她們的需要，如給優(yōu)惠予商家蓋建貨倉，使百業(yè)得以興旺。10 / 45黃騰達 03361493d今趟遊學(xué)團給予我機會到新加坡走走、看看、學(xué)習(xí)學(xué)習(xí)，實在使我大開眼界。跟上一次珠三角遊學(xué)團比較，星加坡遊學(xué)團更要求同學(xué)們的參與，但參加的同學(xué)太多了，即使分了不同的組別，並不代表同學(xué)們能夠分擔(dān)幹事的工作，加上溝通上的困難, 工作難免有點兒重覆,發(fā)表幹事會內(nèi)容和傳遞息的 WebCT 實在太亂了,所以我認為這方面可以有所改進。記得以前我並不是沒有想過到外國工作，但我總是希望自己能在香港發(fā)展自己的事業(yè)，但經(jīng)過這個新加坡之旅，我改變了這個想法。這種想法亦使我更有衝勁去學(xué)習(xí)有關(guān)物流的知識，而且這次旅程讓我親身去了解不同物流公司的運作，這使我更有興趣去理解一些新的物流專用名詞的含義和用法。相反，一些公司則認為高科技能促使他們提高工作效率，減低運輸時間，能盡快將貨物交到顧客手上，所以他們認為投放較多資金也是值得的。相同的是很多物流公司的宗旨都是為顧客服務(wù)，並盡力滿足顧客的要求。在新加坡，我看到很多不同種族的人，他們一起工作、學(xué)習(xí)、生活，大家相處得十分融洽，好像是沒有種族歧視一樣。同時，新加坡亦是一個現(xiàn)代化的城市，有很多大型的商場，而且交通便利，四處的建築物都很別緻，而各具特色，可見在設(shè)計上花了不少心思。雖然新加坡遊學(xué)團又到尾聲了，但我相信我們所體驗到的、學(xué)到的、感受到的是不會因遊學(xué)團的完結(jié)而消失的。今次遊學(xué)團基本上是由我們學(xué)生組織及運行，三位老師的角色只是在旁糾正我們的過錯，很多事情上我們都是在沒有老師指導(dǎo)之下自己學(xué)習(xí)怎樣籌備，如何作決定，因為老師不可能經(jīng)常在我們身邊。除此，他們更別出心裁地為我們展示了一些危機處理手法，這點是我從來都沒有想過會看得到的?？偫▉碚f，除了 PSA，今次遊學(xué)團大部份公司都能給我們好的接待，他們都能為我們帶來一個有趣和具教育性的參觀。7 / 45Lucas Lam光陰似箭，日月如梭，轉(zhuǎn)眼間，新加坡遊學(xué)團又到尾聲了?！〖由喜煌N族的人能居住在新加坡這麼細小的城市，能夠達到互相融合，互相包容更是一件不容
