Many scholars at home and abroad have done a lot of research on the causes, types and reservoirs of conventional oil and natural gas in the basin. But less understanding of shale gas, especially for the extension of the exploration area shale gas characteristics and related factors are less. In this paper, the related characteristics of shale gas in the extended exploration area of Ordos Basin are mainly studied. The factors influencing the gas content of shale are explored, and the gas content of multiport shale gas exploration wells in different areas is measured. By analyzing the gas content The relationship between parameters such as lithology, total anic carbon content, porosity, pressure coefficient and gas content of different shale gas exploration wells was found, and the main factors influencing shale gas content were summarized.
