We can see that for the three mediums surveyed, there are significant changes for each.In 1962, letter writing was the most popular form of munication, taking up 50% of the total. However, its use decreased dramatically after that. In 1982, this figure dropped to only 10%, the smallest of that year’s figure.On the other hand, during this same period, we can see that the use of the phone and puters both increased significantly. In 1962, the use of telephone just occupied 35% and puter was the least used form of the three (15%). In 1982, the telephone, with a percentage of 60%, has bee the most used form of munication. Predictably, TV attracts larger audiences than radio, but in the early morning hours, the radio get by far the largest share while, in the evening, TV viewers are most active. Looking at the course of a day from the early hours in the morning, we see that the index for radio listeners grows sharply from 5% to a peak of 25% just between 6:00 and 8:30 AM. From that point on, the number of listeners declines at a gradual rate to eventually return to the original value with the exception of a nonsignificant slight surge in the late afternoon and at bedtime.While radio listening starts rising in the early morning, the TV watching level is close to zero. As the day proceeds, we see a constant upward fluctuation that es to a peak of 45% around 8:00 PM with a rise at 8:00 to 10:00 AM and another one at 1:00 to 2:00 PM.
