A manufacturing system is an inputoutput system in which manufacturing resources (materials and energy) are transformed into products or semiproducts. Manufacturing is the backbone industry for economic growth。 meanwhile, it consumes a large amount of limited resources and is the root of the current environmental pollution problems. It is reported that 70–80% of the global environmental pollution is caused by manufacturing. Production processing is one of the stages in the life cycle of a production that directly consumes resources, produces environmental pollution emissions and causes occupational health and safety problems [1,2]. Therefore, it is essential for the manufacturing industry to implement environmental benign manufacturing (EBM) and lowcarbon manufacturing strategies that, with high technology application and economic efficiency, have less resource consumption and less environmental pollution. Since the 1970s, creating the concept has been greatly expanded. 1998 .
