d good time has e for the construction and development of Logistics Parks.However, we should realize the fact that although the Logistics Park has many advantages there are many examples of failures of the construction of Logistics Parks, the main reasons are the inadequate preplanning, blind construction, which results in huge losses. In recent years, scientific research institutes have done researches on Logistics Park but most of these studies just remain in the Logistics Park planning and site selection and operational mode of the macro and policy research and these are not the main factors for the success of the Logistics Park. More and more examples show that the division of Logistics Park area, the layout of functional area and how to optimize the overall Logistics Park has been the most important factor for the success of the operation of Logistics Park, which plays a decisive role for future construction and development. Large amount of data and empirical findings have been collected and the fact is that the layout of functional area doesn’t receive sufficient attention in spite of its importance. And there are only a little literature on layout of functional areas home and abroad. The research methods in the literature are quite different.This paper is based on the theory of layout of functional areas of Logistics Park, using Port of Zhenjiang New Area as an example and with the realization through MATLAB in the genetic algorithm. This paper is structured as follows:The first chapter of the paper briefly describes the research background to clarify the significance, creative idea and research status home and abroad.The second chapter reviews the Logistics Park functional layout theories. The concept of functional areas of Logistics Park is introduced and next follows the brief concept of layout of functional areas of Logistics Park. Moreover, the current method of research on layout of functional areas is reviewed. And the advantages and disadvantages of these methods are pared. Finally, through parison and in bination of the theme of the paper, SLP and genetic algorithms are decided to be used as method of solving the layout of functional areas of Logistics Park.The third chapter is the most important part of this paper. It solves the Logistics Park functional area layout modeling and solving. First of all, the objectives and principles of layout of the functional area are clearly stated. Then correlation analysis among functional areas is made by using SLP method and problem is solved by using genetic algorithm with the objective of finding the highest correlation. Finally, layout adjustment is implemented to make the model much closer to the reality.In the fourth chapter, demonstration of the Port of Zhenjiang New Area Logistics Park is used as an instance to put theory stated in the third Chapter into practice. First the Port of Zhenjiang New Area integrated Logistics Park and the corresponding planning is introduced. Then the relationship among various functional areas in the Logistics Park is analyzed and the layout model is built. Once again the problem is solved by using genetic algorithm model and the layout solution is obtained. Finally, layout solution is further adjusted. The fifth Chapter is the conclusion and outlook. This chapter summarizes the core part of the paper and pointed out deficiencies and direction for future efforts. Finally, the outlook of the future development of China39。s Logistics Park is put forward and the importance of the construction of the Logistics Park should be increased and the quality of the Logistics Park should also be improved.
