The main lobby of the Museum will be opened towards both Marszalkowska street and the future central plaza, and it will also connect to the upper floor of the Museum. Wide, amphitheatrelike stairs will lead visitors up, where a roomy reception lobby bisects the whole floor, dividing the vast east exhibition room, reaching 16 meters in height, will give a cathedrallike experience and will host largescale sculptural and site specific projects. The western wing will house the core of the Museum, . its permanent collection halls, followed by rooms for historical exhibitions of Polish and international art of the 20th and 21st centuries.
