Certificate Retaining of certificate The validity of the certificate The validity of the certificate is retained depending on the certification body’s followup surveillance. When the requirements of the implementation rules (such as the standards) are changed, the certificate should be revised in regulated periods, otherwise the certificate is invalidated automatically. Change of the certified product Applying for change of certified productShould any change occurs in the specification, type/model and the manufacturer of the ponents listed in Appendix II or Appendix III of the certified products, or the design of electric construction involved in safety or EMC of the appliances, or other aspects stipulated by the certification body, the application for approving/recording the change shall be made to the certification body. Evaluation and approval of changeThe certification body shall evaluate the change according to the submitted information and confirm whether it can be approved or samples should be submitted for tests. If test is necessary, the change will be approved upon qualified test results. The original certificated product for the type testing should be the foundation for the evaluation of change in principle. Extension of the scope of certified products Procedure for extension For extension of the range of products covered by the scope of certified products, the certificate holder should make application firstly. The certification body shall check the consistency of the extended products against the certified products and confirm the applicability of the original certification results to the extended products together with the validity of the standards version. Supplementary test or inspection will be conducted focusing on the differences. Separate certificate or revised certificate will be issued to the certificate holder depending upon their requests. The original certified product for the type testing should be the foundation for the extension in principle. The requirements for sampleThe certificate holder shall submit the technical documents related to the extended products and submit the sample for checking by the certification body according to the requirements of Clause of this Rules. If testing is required, the testing items will be determined by the certification body. Suspension, cancellation and withdrawal of the certificateThe suspension, cancellation and withdrawal of the certificate shall follow the Regulations for Compulsory Product Certification and relative regulations of the certification body.The certification body will suspend the certificate if the certificate holder couldn’t accept the followup inspection and/or followup sampling and testing.The certification body will withdraw the certificate if the certificate holder reject to the followup inspection and/or followup sampling and testing.The certificate holder can apply for the suspension and cancellation of the certificate. The certification body should suspend or cancel the certificate upon the holder’s request.When the certificate is suspended for acceptable reasons such as the stop of production, etc., the suspension period can’t exceed 12 months. If the suspended certificate is not resumed after 12 months, it’ll be cancelled by the certification body. The certificate holder should apply for the certificate’s resuming to the certification body. The certification body will inspect the factory according to the requirements of initial factory inspection and conduct the type testing to the sample of each certificate units. When the factory inspection and type testing results are qualified, the suspended certificate will be resumed.When the results of the followup sampling and testing are unqualified, the certification body will suspend or withdraw the certificate according to the degree of the disqualification. When the certificate is suspended, the holder should apply for the certificate resuming and accept the factory inspection in a period of 2 months after 1 month of the suspending date, otherwise the certificate will be withdrawn by the certification body. The certificate will be resumed only if the result of factory inspection is qualified. If the result is unqualified, the certificate will be withdrawn.The certification body should proclaim the suspended, cancelled and withdrawn certificate in proper ways.6.
