articles internal meaning and appreciate the beauty of English A linguist ever said A poem is not a poem until it is read Reading aloud is basic in the middle school and the teachers should make full use of body language to develop the students ability of reading aloud When reading the sentences attention should be paid to where to speak softly emphasize and raise or lower tone To make it clearly the students can imitate the stony and soft voice that are used in music teaching which means to represent different tones Generally speaking they use falling tones in explicit or special interrogative sentence They are not often accustomed to and always confuse them However with the help of body language they can solve the problem much more easily For example as they read the choosing interrogative sentence they raise their hands in rising tones and lower in falling tone After training for some times when they read the sentences they will remind themselves of the gestures As a result there will be no problem in right reading the sentences at all In a word the vivid gestures with the fluent English can create a good circumstance of learning which will surely play an active part in improving the students reading ability 7 Teaching of Writing Writing is one of the four basic skills of learning language and it is so important a skill that we can even say without it people cant municate with others Not only should the students get some English knowledge and vocabularies but the ability to municate in spoken and written English as what is mentioned in the teaching programmer To some extent writing is much more important than speaking Because it can spread information without the limitation of space and time Since the students learn English as a media for munication they should master the writing ability To get rid of the students feelings of being dull an English teacher has to use some creative methods This is the same to the writing The teachers use different methods in order to improve the students ability of writing among which the application of body language can deepen the objective impression It is magnificent in developing the students writing ability The linguist Franklin ever said Tell me I will fet teach me I will remember involve me and I will learn Harrison1974 If we asked the students to write an unfamiliar position they would probably feel discouraged However the teachers ask the students write positions to join some Englishrelated activities and then ask them to write it down Take The First Snow in Winter for example having enjoyed themselves in the beautiful snowing and been given some hints the students can write some very good positions For contrast to their plete imagination they are deeply impressed by the body language of the teachers and body language helps them get a good position Conclusion People can municate with one another not only through verbal munication but also nonverbal munication moreover the latter plays an essential role Body language is an important part of nonverbal munication It is known as nonverbal behavior which transmits information through gestures movement and facial expression People municate with each other by their body language in the ways of nodding eyes contacting shrugging and so on According to the research these ways can be divided into sight language body touches posture and gesture manner farcical expression and clothes language The function and effect of the teachers body language in English class has been paid a great attention in recent years Researches indicate that relationship between the teachers and the students will be improved if the teachers know how to effectively use body language Hall 1966 Moreover the students cognitive ability and study efficiency will be improved A successful English teacher not only use verbal language but also appeal to gesture facial expression sight language and so on in order to get the best teaching affect Using body language in English class can not only makes the students and the teachers know each other clearly but creates a relaxing studying atmosphere and stimulates students studying interest Therefore the author has gathered and analyzed reference materials about body language and got a chance to be a visitor in English class of one middle school At last the paper is finished It
