Reykjavik is a wonderful city filled with lots of history, shopping and delicious restaurants. There are ruins dating back to the Viking Era down Reykjavik’s oldest main do wntown streets. One famous monument of Reykjavik is the large church built in the city center. The church offers a view of the city that is amazing. Day 2 We got on the bus for the Golden Circle tour where we went through the famous Thingvellir National Park, then on to the Golden Waterfall in the highlands and the Geyser (天然熱噴泉 ). The most amazing part of this tour for me was our trip to the Geyser. There were several active geysers that we were able to stand right near. The geysers went off every ten minutes. The hot water sprayed straight up and you could feel the heat. Hot underground water is one of Iceland’s greatest resources. Iceland has over 170 hot water pools that are open all year round. Day 3 Today we rode Icelandic horses. The Vikings arrived in Iceland more than 1,000 years ago, bringing with them their small Nordic horses. They are small, gentle, and friendly. Icelandic horses are quite a bit smaller than the horses I have ridden in Montana. I really enjoyed having the chance to ride an Icelandic horse. Doing sightseeing on horseback in Iceland was delightful. Day 4 We took our last walk around town and down to the Harbor. We stopped and bought our last round of souvenirs (紀(jì)念品) , then took a taxi to the airport. I am really looking forward to our return. 21. We can learn from the passage that Iceland ________. What do we know about Icelandic horses? A. They can only be found in Iceland. B. They were brought to Iceland over 1,000 years ago. C. They are very big in size and aren’t friendly. D. They are not for visitors to ride in Iceland. 23. What is this passage mainly about? A. How the writer spent his summer. B. What to see when traveling in Iceland. C. The writer’s traveling experience in Iceland . D. The writer’s most unfettable experience. B Traveling should be easy and enjoyable, and one of the ways to make sure your trip remains fun is to know exactly how to keep your valuables safe. If you are traveling alone, distribute your money through your luggage. Place most of it in your main suitcase or bag. Make a rough estimate of how much money you will spend on the journey, till you reach your destination. Place this money in a different wallet and carry this in your pocket. Spend from this pocket till you get to your destination. If you are travelling with someone, distribute the money among yourselves. Instead of wearing your jewels, you can put your jewels at the bottom of your suitcase or bag. DO NOT carry in your purse, just in case it is stolen。 one,
