Chapter 5 Mainframe MaintainanceMainframe maintenance is to be carried out through program setting on the PBX by the mentioned maintenance software so that the system setting could meet the demands of clients. The mainframe setting includes following items: various numbers, system time period, system parameter, setting on connection port, router setting, account setting, direction of trunk group, shadow trunk and trunk for limited number etc.A、 Number of Various Kinds:To reach some special goals, the PBX is to set some special numbers as required, including instant charging number, special number, lockingup number at various levels, open number at various levels, system short number and nonsupervised extension number etc. To choose various numbers in the drawertype menuB、 Instant Charging Number: It is allowed to set some special numbers。 to add the number, input the number, click on the Add Button and Press the Enter, then you could see the number filled in appeared in the below form if the PBX accepts the change。 if you want to carry out batch processing on the instant charging number, click on the “Batch Processing” Button on the side, and you would see the Batch Processing Dialogue Box shown as below, then to choose corresponding item, click on the Yes Button, and relevant information would be uploaded to the puter or the PBX as well. Special Number:While cutting off the internalcity phone calls, it is allowed to set some telephone numbers of non longdistance。 if necessary, the clients could set some special numbers as 160 and 114 etc. And the setting way is the same as that of the instant charging number. Lockingup Number of Various Grades:This kind of number refers to the number prohibited to be called by the extensions。 Grade 0 is system locking up number, which can not be connected by any other extension number except for those at grade 9. The setting interface is as follows。 after doing so, if the PBX has accepted such operation, the number added would appear in the forms below。 and its interface is as follow with the same setting mode as that of the lockingup number of various number. Extension Free from Monitoring:normally, the extension is under full monitoring and the system is feedback relevant information to the client with continuous signal tones of various kinds. In nonmonitoring mode, the signal mode will be displaced by a series of number in double audio frequency, which ease the connection of external equipment from outside and speed up the reaction on system requirement. The setting mode is the same as that of the instant charging number. Visional Number:the visional number is to set for the same dialing number of the extensions both in and out of the net。 Onandoff Time Period:by setting this time period, it is to control on the calling type out of the fixed scope and it is the basis for autoconversion between on and off the work mode. The setting interface is as follows。 in terms of the performance index of the PBX, including ringing time, beating time and noting tones could be adjusted as requested by the clients。 if the PBX accepts the operation after click on the send button or pressing on the enter, success information will be released with green light。 to choose onandoff work autoconversion function in the downpulling button, and press on the send button or press enter。 if no such hints, you would see hints as waiting for receiving。Upper Limit of Hook Flash Time:different telephones have different beating time, which can be set by users based on the actual situation。 on the contrary, it is the end of the calling. : the upper limit scope of beating time ranges from 1090 with the unit being as 10ms, . the beating time is between 100ms to 900ms, and such kind of setting just applies to the mon telephone. 8. Ringing Time of Extension:the ringing time of the extension will last for 3 to 90 seconds.9. System Effective Time: the system maintaining time will be as long as 3 to 90 seconds.10. Charging On Postponing Calling Time:in this setting mode, the charging time will from 1 second to 60 seconds with all trunk postponing charging time being in the same. 11. Hotline Startup Time:while holding up the speaker without dialing the number, a preset number, called as hotline number, will be dialed automatically and this period of waiting time is called as hotline startup time, ranging from 1 second to 15 seconds. 12. Calling List Sending Degree:to control on the types of calling list sending to the maintenance software and SMDR port with the correspondent registration relationship being as follows: 0close, 1local, 2input, 3internal city calling, 4special service number, 5domestic call, 6international calling,with entitlement on functions adown。 the recalling index is originally set as 0 with the extension allowance being as the basis and trunk allowance being as 2.14. Control on Hint Voice:this setting is to control on whether there is hint voice given when the telephone is in use with the other call is ringing。 whether to give hint notes while the ining call is given by the extension。 15. Choice on Number Consultation:Whether to dial 0 or the number from 1 to 9 to make connection with the assistant extension。 the interface will show as “” while being absent with such kind of setting17. Internal Number:if the system has set as autodial while holding up the speaker, then to make internal call requires to go into the internal calling status with dialing on a certain number。20. Subsection Charging:Whether to have subsection charge, or whether to charge on the other extension while the extension is reconnected with the extension having been connected. That is to say, whether to have subsection charge after ending the latest call. 21. Unconnected Calling Number:Phone call list ready to be made but failing to be connected will be also sent to the puter, but the list on
