With the development of electronic information technology and automation monitoring technology, monitoring system is used widely. As ships are getting more and more largescaled and antomated, the requirement of automatic technology of ship power station is also increasingly. Power station is one of the key parts in a ship. The monitoring system of ship power station plays an important monitoring system of ship power station based on PLC is designed in this paper. The monitoring system is posed of one master station (upper puter).and three substations. Each substation, which is cored by a Mitsubishi FX2N PLC structure, controls a generator independently which is consist of a diesel engine and a generator. The main station and substations are connected by RS485 munication. An automatic monitoring system of ship power station is introduced in this paper, which can realize real data collection and related equipment control. By using the method of modular construction, flow charts of every model in PLC control system is designed in this paper. The program is designed by using the PLC programming software including the modules of generator’s selfstarting, quasisynchronous autoparallel operation and automatic splitting. The automatic control system of power station is realized with this method. By using the configuration software MCGS, the monitoring software of PC is designed in this paper, which has the characteristics of friendly interface and convenient operation. In addition, for the antijamming, mechanical vibration, temperature and humidity interference influence of the ship power station, hardware and software are bined to overe effectively the effects of various kinds of interference on the electrical equipments, and improve the stability and reliability of the power supply in ship power station. Automatic monitoring system of ship power station designed in this paper, is applied to middle or smallsized ships. Testing result shows that the system designed meet the monitor requirements for ship power station.
