Current problems in intelligent transportation systems in the world is: the system structure, management difficulties, huge maintenance into big, etc. In order to improve the existing traffic conditions, is an urgent need to design of intelligent traffic light control system.Intelligent traffic light is a bination of puter network munication technology, sensor technology, automatic control system to manage the traffic lamps and lanterns. Urban traffic control system is used in city traffic data monitoring, traffic signal control and traffic persuation puter integrated management system, it is the modern urban traffic control mand system the most important part of. Anyhow, how USES the appropriate control method, make the best use of costly to build city highspeed road, alleviate the trunk with ramp, urban traffic congestion and surrounding areas, more and more bee the transportation management major problems to be solved and the urban planning department.Programmable controller with microprocessor as the core, widely using ladder diagram programming, programming easy, flexible modification, and the structure is simple, strong antijamming capability. This design USES Germany Siemens S7200 series do host CPU226, match with EM222 extension modules. S7200 is adopted in the design of SETP7 Micro/ programming, the programming software with the ladder diagram program design, and equipped with input and output I/O wiring diagram. This paper is urban and rural traffic lights analog control system of the circuit principle and design calculation for specific analysis.
