It is based on the modern network technology, multimedia technology and Internet technology, based on the established puter network, a connection within the campus network and dispersed around the campus puter, on the other hand, as a munication bridge of campus network. Combined with the Shanxi Datong University campus network status, to improve the campus network to make a feasible plan and design. This scheme to Gigabit network as the backbone, to provide all the web based application system support, provide secure access to the Internet, provided within the campus and the global WWW service, FTP service, NEWS service, Email services, and Internet is plete conform.Key words: Local area network；Network planning；Internet access；Wiring 14
