Be sure that any or all individuals with this job task are fortable and trained appropriately, and have the appropriate personal protective equipment for this task (N95 filtering face piece respirator or equivalent and nitrile gloves as needed). Go to the World Alert website for the required protective personal equipment. 169。 2xxx xxx, Company xxx / xxx Taking Temperatures 量體溫 Ear Thermometers are preferable to oral thermometers as there is less risk of contact with body fluids (saliva). 1. Read thermometer’s instructions carefully. Never throw the instructions away 2. Use a clean, disposable probe on your thermometer 3. Turn the thermometer on. Use a gentle rocking motion as you insert it into the ear canal. Never push or cram the probe into the ear. Forcing it can cause pain 4. Listen for the beep then remove the thermometer 聽到提示音后取出耳溫計(jì)。 5. Read the temperature gauge. If you do not get a temperature reading, you did not get good contact with the ear canal, and will need to take the temperature again 讀取體溫讀數(shù)。 6. Dispose of probe in a nontouch, lined receptacle 169。 2xxx xxx, Company xxx / xxx Taking Temperatures 量體溫 Store disposable, paper thermometers as directed on packaging. When exposed to temperatures 35176。 C (95176。 F) dots may turn color. If this occurs, place it in freezer for at least one hour per box. Then, let stand at room temperature for one day (cool area 30176。 C (86176。 F)。 thermometers have approximately a twoyear shelflife). Dots may appear slightly offcolor, but this does not affect the accuracy of the thermometers. 1. Place thermometer under tongue as far back as possible with dots facing either up or down 2. Read the last colored dot。 ignore any skipped dot 5.
