Many people, especially in rural areas, are living in poverty. They believe that the only way to get rid of poverty is to develop economy. On the other hand, many people insist that environmental protection should be a top priority. They say that we have only one earth. If you living environment is destroyed or polluted epletely. We can not survive on this pla. Now most parts of the earth are polluted. What has brought the pollution is the rapid and advanced development of economy. In my opinion, both economic development and environmental protection are our urgent tasks now. Without economic development, we would remain backward, and we might be conquered and bullied by other countries. Without environmental protection, we would lose our home. Therefore, the best solution is that we devote to the protection of our home while we are developing our economy. Use of Free Time Nowadays working hours get shorter and vacations longer, and there are more and more ways to send the weekend. Aside from eating and sleeping, what do people do during the many hours when they are not at work or at school? Use of free time often discloses much about one’s tastes, values, interests and personality. In leisure hours some may turn to the humanities: literature, music,art and also movies and television. Others participate in sports, volunteer work, or hobbies at home. Still others like to travel. And some manage to do almost all of these things from time to time. Obviously, the use of free time is a good means of relaxation, but its benefits go beyond this. All things people do in leisure hours enable them to tratify their wishes. This can contribute to intellectual growth and promote social activities as well. So the goo use of free time is indispensable to improving people’s physical and mental health. A life without it isn’t as rich, colorful and rewarding as life can be. The Advantages and Disadvantages of Living in a City 你居住城市的優(yōu)缺點(diǎn) Living in if one a city has many advantages. Urban residents enjoy good housing ,medical care, convenient transport and lots of cultural activities. Children living in cities can get better education, because almost all the famous universities are located in the cities. However, there are many disadvantages if one lives in a city. For example, cities are usually polluted and noisy. Urban residents can hardly enjoy fresh air and birds’ singing as rural people do in the countryside. In conclusion, if a person tries to decide whetherc to live in city or not, he should take into consideration both the advantages and disadvantages of urban life he makes the final decision.
