The Lost The Lost Generation: Generation is a term coined by Stein to refer to a group of American literary notables who lived in Paris and Europe, some after military service in the First World War. Figures identified with the Lost other parts of Generation include authors and poets Hemingway, Fitzgerald, Pound, Anderson and so on. Hemingway likely popularized the term ,quoting Stein(You are all a lost generation)as epigraph to his novel,The Sun Also Rises.
