【正文】 consider the matter . 2).We said goodbye to Mrs. Long, (who was) still busy at her chores. 3).The puppy, (which was) too excited to be calmed , barked furiously. 3．縮略為名詞短語(yǔ) 由名詞短語(yǔ)作表語(yǔ)的非限制性定語(yǔ)從句略去作 主語(yǔ)的關(guān)系代詞和連系動(dòng)詞便成為名詞短語(yǔ)作同位語(yǔ)。 例如： 1） The pany mander, (who was) Captain Madison, assembled his men and announced their mission. 連長(zhǎng) ,墨迪遜上尉 ,把戰(zhàn)士們集合起來宣布他們的 戰(zhàn)斗任務(wù)。 2） You should have a talk with Mr. Worth , (who is )the adviser to students. 你應(yīng)該和沃斯先生 學(xué)生顧問談一談。 3) We finally reached Rio, (which was) the end or our journey. 4．縮略為介詞短語(yǔ) 若定語(yǔ)從句為主系表句型，且表語(yǔ)為介語(yǔ)短語(yǔ)，可略去 主語(yǔ)關(guān)系代詞和連系動(dòng)詞，使之縮略為介詞短語(yǔ)作 后置定語(yǔ)。 此外，若定語(yǔ)從句中含“有”動(dòng)詞（ has, have, had）， 用介詞 with / without 取替定語(yǔ)從句中主語(yǔ)關(guān)系代詞 和“有”動(dòng)詞，使定語(yǔ)從句縮略為介詞 with / without 短語(yǔ)作后置定語(yǔ)。 With 適用于肯定的定語(yǔ)從句； without 適用于否定的定語(yǔ)從句。 例如 :He spoke to the girl (who was) from New York 例如： 1).The pany wants men who have experience. →The pany wants men with experience. 2） My father went up to the woman who had a book under her arm. → My father went up to the women with a book under her arm. 3） The teacher was looking for a rule that did not have an exception . → The teacher was looking for a rule without an exception. 縮略為動(dòng)詞不定式短詞 某些含情態(tài)動(dòng)詞或助動(dòng)詞的定語(yǔ)從句可縮略為動(dòng)詞 不定式短語(yǔ)作后置定語(yǔ)。 例如： 1） You need someone who can look after you. 2) The way you should start the machine is to press the button . 3) There are still many obstacles that must be overe. 4) The question which will be discussed tomorrow is whether ine tax should be increased. 5) There are plenty of toys with which the children can play . 關(guān)于找先行詞（單數(shù)或復(fù)數(shù)） ? 1. He was one of the students who were praised ? for it. ( who指代 the students) ? 他是被表?yè)P(yáng)的學(xué)生之一。 ? 2. He was the only one of the students who was ? praised for it. ( who 指 the only one) ? 他是唯一被表?yè)P(yáng)的學(xué)生。
