He decided to sell milk, bread, amp。 eggs during the late hours. ? He added more goods and opened more stores. ? Now 41,000+ 711 stores. Taiwan has 4,790 stores ? 1927年 ,一位在製冰廠工作的工人想出一個主意 , 用 冰 去 保存食物新鮮 。 ? 他決定售賣牛奶 , 麵包和鷄蛋 到很晚 。 ? 他增添很多貨品和 開辦很多便利店 。 ? 現(xiàn)在 全球 已有 41,000多間 711便利店 , 在 臺灣便 有 4,790間 。 49 Apple Computer Stores 蘋果電腦商店 ? Many thought the idea of an Apple Store to be stupid. ? People could already buy puters online or at discount stores. ? But, Apple stores have been very successful. Duane Reade drug stores were well known in the US for dirty, crowded, stores with terrible service. ? Now they are seen as the most innovative drug store chain in the country. ? Now they sell a little bit of almost everything, hot and cold food, drinks, cosmetics, DVD’s, etc. ? You can do your banking, pay utility bills, (Taiwan) pay traffic fines, buy phone cards. ? They teach people how to use APPLE devices, teach them how these capabilities can improve their devices – they have classes. ? They have Geniuses who freely help people with their problems. ? They cleaned the stores, widened the aisles, told their workers to be nice or leave. ? Convenience ? 方便 What is CONVENIENCE? You 甚麼是方便 ? 你 1. Reduce readers’ physical effort 2. Put our content and services into the flow of readers‘ everyday lives. 3. Make sure people “perceive” that your services is good. 4. Let readers be in control of as much as possible: self check, user initiated delivery, online and phone reference help, etc. 1. 減少讀者的體力消耗 。 2. 將圖書館提供的內(nèi)容和服務融入讀者每日的生活 中 。 3. 確認人們可以感覺 到圖書館 的好服務 。 4. 盡可能讓讀者自行操作 : 自 助借還書 , 用戶啟動傳遞 , 網(wǎng)上和電話 諮詢 協(xié)助等 。 56 So, which global trends should your library adopt? 圖書館應採用那 些 全球趨勢 ? ? Those which are convenient to students and teachers. ? You should look at all of your existing services and ask if they are convenient or not. ? Libraries should adopt those trends which make information finding convenient. 2.
