今天出席活動(dòng)的還有來自我們兩國的學(xué)生，如今每年有成千上萬的美國和中國年輕人到對(duì)方國家求學(xué)。我們希望看到有更多的人參與。奧巴馬總統(tǒng)已宣布將在今后4 年時(shí)間內(nèi)向中國派出10萬美國學(xué)生在華學(xué)習(xí)漢語，并體驗(yàn)中國人民的熱情好客。我們稱之為”。十萬人”。行動(dòng)計(jì)劃，我們對(duì)中國政府為該項(xiàng)目提供支持表示感謝。我尤其要感謝劉女士為這一努力所發(fā)揮的領(lǐng)導(dǎo)作用。大約一年以前，她和我首次會(huì)面討論民間交流的重要意義。而今天，我們要在這里宣布一項(xiàng)重大的承諾。
a few minutes ago madam liu and i met with several american exchange students, including: a high school student who is living with a host family here in beijing, a college student who has performed with the beijing music ensemble, and a doctoral student doing research in renewable energy education.

a few days ago i visited the shanghai expo and met the young american student ambassadors who had already weled more than 700,000 visitors to the usa pavilion. they have all studied mandarin. and they e from cities and towns across the united states. they will return home having shared the experience of being part of the expo, and meeting people from all over china and the world. many more american and chinese students want and deserve similar opportunities, and i applaud the announcement today that there will be 10,000 chinese students supported to get their .amp。rsquo。s in the united states.
幾天前，我參觀了上海世博會(huì)。我與已經(jīng)在美國館接待了70多萬參觀者的年輕美國學(xué)生大使們見了面。他們都學(xué)過漢語，來自全美各城市和鄉(xiāng)鎮(zhèn)。他們回國的時(shí)候，將擁有自己與世博會(huì)密不可分的體驗(yàn)，以及接待來自全中國和全世界的參觀者的經(jīng)歷。還有更多的美國和中國學(xué)生想要獲得、也應(yīng)該獲得同樣的機(jī)會(huì)，我為今天發(fā)布的消息感到高興：我們將支持一萬名中國學(xué)生在美國取得博士學(xué)位。
