The project adopted Huawei’s advanced MSC: softswitch MSC, thus demonstrating the reliability of Huawei softswitch MSC. The position of TMSC1 is very important and they deal with all the long distance traffic between provinces. Based on softswitch MSC, CMCC can save much transmission cost in longdistance calls. The project includes 8 pairs of MSC servers and 32 dual homing MGWs, totally 40,000 E1 ports, building in 31 branch offices of CMCC. The project was pleted in August, 2004. It survived the peak of the Chinese Lunar New Year in early 2005 and proved to be of best quality and reliability.
