s masterpiece Walden topped the list. Thoreau died on May 6, 1862, only 44 years old. Although his life is short and many of his point of view during his lifetime were not recognized by his time, his ultraforward thinking have left a great spiritual wealth to later generations, which is what we need to learn from. In the strong entrepreneurial 21st century, people usually use the standard whether your business cause is a success or not to measure the value of life. However, in the pursuit of material, many people are caught up in the abyss of worships of money and corruption. Perhaps, conscientious and enterprising human in the pursuit of success should go back to look at Thoreau, look at his way of life in the forest, and his general feelings in the forest. Life should be simple How should human live? Thoreau believes that people should live in a simple life. This kind of simple contains two aspects: firstly, the needs of life should be simple。s all show to this philosopher” (Ralph Waldo Emerson 242245). Thoreau is indeed a minstrel of the natural year. In regard to nature, he accepted the point of view that everything has a spirituality. He believed that only by getting close to nature does human nature could be regained. 5 The content of Thoreau’s view of nature Here Thoreau’s view of nature is generalized into two parts: frist, all things in the world have a life。 關(guān)鍵詞: 梭羅;自然觀;人性;自然 ABSTRACT Henry David Thoreau is one of the American transcendentalism writers of the nieenth century. He is an ecological literature writer。梭羅是十九世紀(jì)美國超驗(yàn)主義代表作家之一,他是一位生態(tài)文學(xué)作家,是一位自然詩人,是踐行簡樸生活的自然兒女。s view of nature. Cultural reasons Transcendentalism is a literary trends prevalent in the United States from 1830 to 1850. The key point of the thought advocates one can go beyond feelings and rationality and get to know the truth directly. Transcendentalism argues that the human world is a microcosm of the universe. “Believe in yourself”, this Emerson39。s friends: plants, mountains, water, all things could enter into his heart. Besides, Thoreau advocated dialogue between man and nature, he stressed that human being have no special privileges in front of nature. Human could municate with nature world. Through this conversation, human could know everything on the earth, and more important, know himself. Human beings should return to nature Thoreau is a tireless walker and visitor to nature. Feelings he has to nature are rustic and deep, and nature, in his eyes, is splendid and fantastic. Human being are part of nature, and nature endows human with dreams and hopes. Therefore, he advocated the return to nature, staying away from the shackles of secular life. Modern industrial civilization brought rapid economic development and convenience and wealth to humans. Thoreau recognized this, but he more clearly 7 recognized that, with the development of industry, humans are gradually away from nature. He believed that the industrial civilization has brought a lot of luxuries, but most of the luxuries are unnecessary and bee a hamper to human’s progress. Thoreau does a lot of criticism to human’s conquest, domination and transformation of natura in his works. He disagreed with the enjoyment of material life, and believed the pursuit of luxury is not a wise person should do. He described in his book: with respect to luxuries and forts, the wisest have ever lived a more simple and meagre life than the poor(Thoreau 10). To Thoreau, the luxury of industrial civilization has corrupted human nature, made people’s heart bee more plex and the spirit bee reprobate. Therefore, he called on people to face their own inner and establish a correct concept of civilization and wealth. The splendor and magnificent nature gives Thoreau lots of fun and inspiration. He embraced the landscape, municated with nature in his heart and soul. He advocated a simpler and easier rustic life, advised people to take time to appreciate the true meaning of life. “I went to woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived. I did not wish to live what was not life, living is so dear。 but I would have each one be very careful to find out and pursue his own way, and not his father’s or his mother’s or his neighbor’s instead” (Thoreau 65). Life should not have any paradigms, if we set too many demands, then our lives will be locked. We have our own way to walk, our own life style to live, our own dream to realize,we choose it by ourselves, not get them from others, not finish th
