The rivalry is friendly these days, but every year there is a rowing race on the River Thames in London between the two universities. 64 Members of both teams are traditionally known as “blues” and each boat as a “Blue Boat”. Cambridge is in light blue and Oxford in dark blue. Boats are important for another reason — for fun! Punting is a type of relaxed boating done in summer in punts(平底船 ).
