So uttered are the first words of Police Chief Jack Mannion, played by Craig T. GIS就是一套電腦系統(tǒng)，用來 截取 (capturing) 管理 (managing) 整合 (integrating) 操作 (manipulating) 分析 (analyzing)、 展示 (displaying) 描述有關(guān)地球地理空間的相關(guān)資料 (或資訊 )。(McDonnell and Kemp, 1995) 6 GIS的應(yīng)用 Applications of GIS 80%以上 人類在地球上的活動及資料使用，與 地理空間有絕對關(guān)連。 安全領(lǐng)域： 國土安全 (homeland security)、犯罪防治 (crime prevention)、犯罪預(yù)測 (crime forecasting)、警察勤務(wù)派遣 (policing)、保全現(xiàn)金運送(armored transportation)、巡邏派遣 (patrol allocation)。 交通領(lǐng)域： 車輛導(dǎo)航 (incar navigation) 、智慧型交通管理系統(tǒng)(intelligent transportation system, ITS)、路徑選擇 (routing)。 自然環(huán)保防災(zāi)： 土地規(guī)劃系統(tǒng) (land information system)、測量影像(surveying and image processing) 、氣象預(yù)測 (weather forecasting) 、自然環(huán)境保育 (natural environmental protection)、災(zāi)害減損 (hazard mitigation)。 設(shè)施資產(chǎn)： 風(fēng)險管理 (risk management)、營建業(yè) (construction)、設(shè)施管理 (utilities management)、資產(chǎn)物業(yè)管理 (property and asset management)。 商業(yè)領(lǐng)域： 零售業(yè)選址 (retail store site selection)、客戶目標(biāo)導(dǎo)向(customer targeting)。 其他： 與軍事策劃 (military planning) 、專家決策支援系統(tǒng) (expert support decisionmaking system)、人工智慧 (artificial intelligent)。 7 GIS應(yīng)有之主要組成構(gòu)件(Components) 8 GIS是重要的整合科技平臺 GI is Special 網(wǎng)際網(wǎng)路的 Webbased GIS 開放式共享結(jié)構(gòu) OpenGIS 個人行動通訊 (Personal Mobil Communication System) 虛擬實境 (VR) 人工智慧 (AI) 專家系統(tǒng) (ES) 決策支援系統(tǒng) (DSS) 類神經(jīng)網(wǎng)路 (ANN) 案例式推理 (CBR) 代理人模擬 (Agent Based Model) 9 結(jié)合各項高科技 WEB GPS PDA RFID GPRS 成為強大的空間決策支援工具 10 11 何謂犯罪基圖與分析？ Definition of Crime Mapping and Analysis Crime mapping is used by analysts in law enforcement agencies to map, visualize, and analyze crime incident patterns. It is a key ponent of crime analysis and the CompStat policing strategy.
