General This code is prepared for implementation of national technoeconomical policies during design and construction of fastened steel tube scaffolds so as to ensure them to be technologically advanced, economically reasonable, safe in use and acceptable in quality. This code is applicable for design and construction of floortype (bottom bracing) single and doublerow fastened steel tube scaffolds used in construction of industrial and civil architecture, and for design and construction of constructional template brackets of horizontal concrete structures. Singlerow scaffold is not applicable for: 1) The wall with a thickness of less than or equal to 180mm。 2) The building with a height of more than 24m。 3) The lightweight wall such as hollow brick wall and air entrained wall etc. 4) Brick wall with strength grade of laying mortar being less than or equal to . Prior to construction of fastened steel tube scaffolds, design calculation shall be made pursuant to this code on the bearing capacity of scaffold’s structural ponents and standing poles, which, however, is not needed for the relevant members under the conditions as defined in Article of this code. Prior to construction of fastened steel tube scaffolds, constructional anization design shall be piled in accordance with this code. In addition to this code, design and construction of fastened steel tube scaffolds shall also be in pliance with national current provisions in related to pulsory standards. 2. Terminologies and Symbols Terminologies Scaffold Temporary framework erected for loading, stacking and operation for building construction. Singlerow scaffold (singlerow rack) Only with one row of standing pole, and one end of its lateral horizontal pole resting on wall body. Doublerow scaffold (doublerow rack) Composed of two rows of standing poles and horizontal poles respectively at inner and outer sides. Structural scaffold — 3 — Used for construction operation of laying framework works. Decoration scaffold Used for construction operation of decoration works Scaffold provided only with rails and toe plate but not any other sheltering facilities. Partially screened scaffold With sheltering area of less than 30%. Semiscreened scaffold With sheltering area of 3070%. Wholly screened scaffold Being screened in full length and full height along its outer side. Template bracket Used for supporting the template and erected with the same materials as scaffold. Open scaffold Erected without crossover around building. Close scaffold Erected with crossover along the circumference of building. Fastener Buckled adapting piece fastened by bolting. Square fastener Used for interconnection of square crossing members. Turning fastener Used for interconnection of horizontal or oblique crossing members. Buttjoining fastener Used for butt connection of members. Antislip fastener Fastener not used for connection but added pursuant to antislip requirement. Base Pedestal provided at the bottom of standing pole. Fixed base Base with its pedestal height being nonadjustable. Adjustable base — 4 — Base with its pedestal height being adjustable. Sole plate Supporting plate placed under the base. Standing pole Vertical member in perpendicularity to horizontal surface in scaffold. Outer standing pole Standing pole being away from one side of wall body for doublerow scaffold。 or standing pole in singlerow scaffold. Inner standing pole Standing pole being adjacent to one side of wall body for doublerow scaffold. Corner pole Standing pole located at the corner of scaffold. Dualtube standing pole Two standing poles erected in parallelism and adjoining each other. Primary standing pole Directly bearing top load in dualtube standing pole. Secondary standing pole Sharing load with primary standing pole in dualtube standing pole. Horizontal pole Horizontal member in scaffold. Longitudinal horizontal pole Horizontal pole erected longitudinally along scaffold. Lateral horizontal pole Horizontal pole erected laterally along scaffold. Ground pole Horizontal pole erected near to the ground for connecting the root of standing pole. Longitudinal ground pole Ground pole erected longitudinally along scaffold. Lateral ground pole Ground pole erected laterally along scaffold. Wall connecting piece — 5 — Component for connection of scaffold to building. Rigid wall connecting piece Wall connecting piece posed of steel tube, fastener or embedded part. Flexible wall connecting piece Wall connecting piece with reinforced bar used as tie bar. Spacing of wall connecting piece Distance between two adjacent wall connecting pieces in scaffold. Vertical distance of wall connecting piece Vertical distance between two adjacent wall connecting pieces up and down. Lateral distance of wall connecting piece Horizontal distance between two adjacent wall connecting pieces left and right. Lateral diagonal Sway rod being in oblique crossing against inner and outer standing poles or horizontal pole in doublerow scaffold. XBracing Intercross sway rod erected in pair at outer side of scaffold. Buttress brace Member being in oblique crossing against the outer side of sca
