Ⅱ .Play a guessing game. Invite four Ss to the front of the class and have them stand facing the blackboard. Ask them to make faces. In small groups Ss try to guess. She is happy/sad/hot. The group that guessed correctly es to the front to make the faces. Ⅲ .Drill 1. Turn to Page11, Play the tape, Enable the Ss listen to the tape and do the Excerise. 2. T: Which picture is it? Is it B? Is it D? 3. While the Ss are responding, gradually move your hand to picture C. Repeat the answers. Step 4 Presentation of Target ● Ask for several volunteers to e to the front of the room. Arrange them so that there is at least one boy standing alone, one girl standing alone and at least two Ss standing together. ● Handout picture Cards to the Ss and ask them to hold them up to the class. ● T: He’s (big).(Point to the boy standing alone.) ● Point to the other volunteers and ask Ss in the class to make sentences about them and the picture cards. ● Point to the picture and model the dialog. ● T: Listen and repeat. ● Play the tape, pausing after each sentence so Ss can repeat. Step 5 Do Activity 1 a bingo grid on the board. Write Bingo in the center square. ● Write the vocabulary words in the eight remaining squares. ● Demonstrate how to play Bingo. ● Have Ss look at the pictures in this acitivity . ● T: Open your books. Write these words in the eight boxes. ● Every student will put the words in different boxes. ● Make a statement, eg. They’re heavy and have Ss check off that word from their bingo grid in pencil. ● Continue until someone gets three words in a row and calls out Bingo.! ● After playing as a class, have Ss play in small groups. ● One student in each group can be the announcer. Have the announcers rotate regularly. Practice 2 ● Walk around the room asking Ss questions. Move around the room and ask questions quickly to keep Ss focused. ● T: Are you cold? Are you sad? ● Elicit responses and encourage Ss to ask you questions with unit’s vocabulary words. ● Play the tape and have Ss answer. ● Encourage Ss to use plete sentences and express their real feeling.
