【正文】 的歷史，我們應(yīng)該將它們分別理解和表達(dá)為“revitalization”或“rejuvenation”和“reunification”。從這個意義上說，政論翻譯，尤其在譯名問題上，涉及到繼承傳統(tǒng)譯名的情況比較多，因此我們應(yīng)該多讀一些國內(nèi)的外文刊物，如《中國日報》、《北京周報》、《人民日報》（海外英文版）等，增強(qiáng)政治意識，統(tǒng)一翻譯口徑，這樣才能夠把漢譯英做好。翻譯的功能是將原有的文字資料轉(zhuǎn)換成另一種語言，從而使讀者用其熟悉的語言了解原本用另一種語言表述的信息。譯者對原文的把握、理解是關(guān)鍵所在。如果在這方面出現(xiàn)偏差，譯文就會與原文有出入，也就很難做到忠實(shí)于原文。具體地說，就是所譯語言要符合規(guī)范，行文自然、流暢，不帶有過多生硬翻譯的痕跡。對于漢譯英來說，要求譯文的句式處理恰當(dāng)，選詞妥貼，英語比較地道。譯文英語不地道，不僅會失去原文的文體風(fēng)格，而且還會誤轉(zhuǎn)翻譯練習(xí),在我長時間不間斷地工作的時侯，在我感到內(nèi)心空虛、需要充實(shí)的時候，我才會感到寂寞。于是有那么一會兒，我會感到整個房子非常大，空蕩蕩的。這時，我會給花草澆澆水，挨個瞅瞅，仿佛它們是活生生的人一樣，或是喂喂兩只小貓，親手做頓飯菜，這樣自我就慢慢地重新找回。s power of choice.
