The description on environment of the building has been done and the design of the fire auto alarm system for this building has been carried out based on the relative national codes. First, fire zones and monitoring zones were divided and then the style of the whole system was decided. Second, the number of fire detectors’ used in each monitoring zones was calculated and the types were chosen .Third, the major related facilities of the fire auto alarm and its linkage system were selected. At last, an overall planning of the power supply system, the prehensive linefixing system and the grounding system was made for the fire system. The design based on the actual structure of the building followed the national codes and relative standards strictly, absorbed the advanced international technology and experience and made every effort to offer a relatively plete and efficient fire auto alarm system for this building.
