ombining t he volatile content , ash and element of sludge , factors t hat affected sludge heat value was investigated , and t hen the influence of moist ure on sludge heat value utili2 zation was also discussed. The experiment showed t hat t he result s of element analysi s and calorimeter are accordant . The sl udge volatile content examination was infl uenced by t he wastewater qualit y , drainage system , wastewater t reating process and sl udge feat ure , and t hen effected t he sl udge heat val ue. It was suggested t hat t he sludge ing f rom wastewater t reat ment plant s of bined drainage system and digested sl udge were not fit for bustion. St udy result s f urt her indicated t hat when t he sewage sl udge could be incinerated by it self , t he moi st ure should not be higher t han 68 %.
