Smart substation aims to operate reliablly and establish a new mode of microelectronics technology, information technology and puter technology. With the development of electronic transformer, the space of intelligent highvoltage electrical appliances and high speed work munication technology,could provide smart substation system require higher level of reliability, efficiency and stablity. The smart substation rely protection function relate to equipment selection, configuration and the munication system. Selection of main ratings and calibration, the main functions of internal and external protection of transformer short circuit, overcurrent and various kinds of abnormal protection is mainly for transformer protection introducing the main transformer protection and reserve protection. Application of munication part mainly introduces the RS485 serial standards and telecontrol technology, all these need remote munication protocol of intelligent substation, converted into the corresponding information, can be data acquisition system identification.
