Tell the children they are going to read the first part of a traditional European fairytale .The rest of the story appears in the next five Units. Before reading the story ,direct the children’s attention to the box containing new words. Explain the meaning of the words in it. You can have the children predict the meaning of the new words in the story .Or you can choose to explain the words after the children read the story . .Ha
