It was given by my grandfather. Look at my full name, my given name is Yang, which is my mother’s family name. So I think it conveys my parents best wish that they are always with me and give my courage to move on.Yeah, my name means a lot to me. It’s a symbol of mine. And it conveys my parents’ expectations. They wants me to be a optimist and warmhearted person.Education and LearningDo you work or are you a student?Neither, I just graduated in June last year. I’ve been preparing for studying abroad at home.What’s your major?I majored in math, a tough major for girls including me.Why did you choose your major?It is a long story, you know, my major is pretty tough for girls. But at that time, I had no choice because of my low mark. a majority of my classmates are not very much into this major, in particular girls.How do you like your major?Well, to be honest, I have mixed feelings about my major. For example, sometimes, I’m proud of my major, because my major has a strict demand of my logical thinking, giving me a sense of acplishment. On the other hand, sometimes I have a hard time in coping with some specific problems, it’s kind of challenging.Do you like your university?Yeah, I’m very much into my university. Thanks to my university, I’ve made some straightforward friends. The bottom line is that my university offers me fortable learning ambience. Every morning, a lot of people read English aloud at the every corner of the campus, it’s quite spectacular.Which subject do you think will be most useful to you after you leave university?I suppose my English subject will be the most useful, now I chat with you in English. Plus, I use English to take international exams including ielts and gmat. To my disappointment, probably 90 % of other subjects I never use.Why would you like to go abroad?I want to study hospitality in America. Because in China, only a few univeristies offer courses about hospitality, so studying in America would be a better choice for me to receive firstclass education. Plus, studying abroad will give a chance me to gain a high salary and provide a favorable job in the future. In addition to that, it’s also a good way for me to practice and grasp my English well.Towns and CitiesWhereabouts is your hometown?I’m a wenzhou local. Wenzhou is located in ZheJiang province, in the east of China.Do you still live there?No, I haven’t lived there for about 5 years. However, every year, my family goes back to WenZhou to celebrate spring festival. Coz my grandparents still lives in WenZhou.Where do you live at the moment? Now, I live in GZ. Five years ago, my family moved to GZ because of my father’s business, I still can’t speak Cantonese, I’ve gotten used to living in GZ, though.What’s the most famous place in your hometown?Well, to be honest, I’m not familiar with my hometown’s famous places, because I haven’t been to these spots. However, I’ve been to famous tourist attractions of other cities.How has your hometown changed in recent years ?My hometown wenzhou has been changed a lot over the last decades, a whole style of the city has been totally shifted. In particular, various forms of entertainment have taken place in my hometown. Such as foot massage, karaoke and cinema. All these make wenzhou pretty modern and fashionable.補充:hometownWhat kind of place is your hometown? Wenzhou is the kind of city which gives you the impression of being both dynamic and vibrant.People—As I can see it, in terms of people, not only are they diligent and hospitable, they can speak both mandarin and several kinds of local dialects, which often make people from other provinces difficult to understand. Apart from that, they are always equipped with business sense and I appreciate them coz they start their business from scratch.Weather—as far as weather, wenzhou derives its present name from its mild climate, which is neither cold nor hot. In winter, you can enjoy mild and abundant shine. It’s a fabulous spot.Problems—because wenzhou is a populous city, so there are too many people in my hometown and everywhere is so crowded. Plus, an increasing number of people are sprouting up all over the city to find jobs, which has worsen traffic and public health problems.Do you want to live in a big city or a small city/ countryside?I love living in a big city, coz I’ve gotten accustomed to life in the big city. It’s very convenient for me to buy everything and travel to other cities. Plus, a big city can provide me with various forms of entertainment. So I can have a ball in my spare time.Lettersamp。WritingDo you usually write by hand or write using the puter(or using a keyboard)?Well, I prefer handwriting over writing using the puter. As I see it, even though writing by puter is costefficient, I really dig into writing by hand. Coz it help me memorize some important things. As well as this, bending over the paper to study can make me concentrate more.How can children today improve their handwriting?Actually, there are a wide range of ways for children to improve theire handwriting. For instance, children can improve their handwriting by imitating nice examples of handwriting before they develop their own style. As well as this, parents and teahcers can teach their children by holding their hands.Do you think puters might one day replace handwriting?Well, to be honest, I guess puters can not fully replace handwriting. Even though puters enjoys obvious advantages, like convenience and fast speed, writing by puters drives childrens’ attation to other things, like games. so, as I see it, handwriting has its own advantages. Coz a person’s handwriting reveals a lot about their personality and conveys their feelings more eff
