It shows how aspirations and traditions and histories from all over the worlde together still in this melting pot, and they revitalize and they renew our nation. And thatamp。s difficult to believethat this is a munity that began with only a few recent Indian immigrants who celebratedoccasions like this one in their own homes. And less than four decades later, the temple not onlyserves as a spiritual home for thousands of Hindu Americans, but it provides support andoutreach for people of all backgrounds and beliefs. So as we celebrate Diwali this evening, we also hail the acplishments of the manyhundreds of thousands of Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, and Jain Americans who live now all across ourcountry in every munity.
