Why do you think people are important in tourism marketing?,Undoubtedly people are the most important element of any service or experience. Services tend to be produced and consumed at the same moment. Therefore, here people involve not only the providers of services but also consumers who enjoy the services together. These consumers may be selected and organized or may happen to come at the same time. Anyone who takes part in the experience expects to enjoy it happily. But their expectations would be spoiled by the bad behavior of any of these people. For example, a good theatre performance may be spoiled by some disruptive audience. Similarly tourists may have a miserable trip due to the bad attitude of the tour guide. For the above reasons, we can see that people are important in tourism marketing.,2. What factors should be taken into account for a successful marketing mix?,The successful marketing mix should take the following factors into account. 1) Timing。 2)Brands。 3 Packaging； 4）Pricing；5）Channels of distribution； 6）Product；7）Image； 8）Advertising； 9）Selling.,3. What is the physical presence of the product? Why is it very important for distributing tourism products?,A service tends to be an experience that is consumed at the point where it is purchased and cannot be owned since it quickly perishes. Therefore, it is of vital importance to provide physical evidence so that consumers can make a judgment on the possible services the organization offers if they have no other ways to know about them. There are many examples of physical evidence such as photographs in a holiday brochure from which consumers can have an idea of some aspects of an unseen product, the physical setting in which a service is delivered, or even furnishings, light and color which are influential to the whole atmosphere of the setting.,4. What are the additional ‘three Ps’? And why are they regarded as being important?,The additional “three Ps” are people, physical evidence and process. 1）People People are the most important element of any service or experience. Services tend to be produced and consumed at the same moment. Therefore, here people involve not only the providers of services but also consumers who enjoy the services together. 2) Physical evidence A service tends to be an experience that is consumed at the point where it is purchased and cannot be owned since it quickly perishes. Therefore, it is of vital importance to provide physical evidence so that consumers can make a judgment on the possible services the organization offers if they have no other ways to know about them. 3) Process Since it is controlled by people, process is an important element closely related to the importance of people.
