This one day event stresses the advantages of walking to school. It takes place each year in the fall in order to support environmental protection, ask for clean air, encourage students to be more active and create healthier living habits. It39。s a clean, green way to get to school. By 2020, the event had spread across all the 50 states in America, being International Walk to School Day. In fact, 40 countries now choose the entire month of October as International Walk to School Month.
